"Technology Summit in Speech and Language Therapy" Held

The "Technology Summit in Speech and Language Therapy", organized by the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Speech and Language Therapy, took place on Monday, 9 May 2022 in Conference Hall B on the Bahçeşehir University South Campus.

Due to high demand, the summit was also broadcast online/live for participants who could not be admitted to the conference hall. (See: Part 1 & Part 2)

At the summit, technological developments, digital transformation and scientific innovation were discussed. At the summit, organized by the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Speech and Language Therapy and featuring talks by leading and distinguished academics from many foundation and state universities, technological developments addressed for the first time in the field of speech and language therapy were discussed, such as the past and present of the profession, new technological therapy applications, tele-therapy, the use of virtual reality in therapy, games and digital gamification, and swallowing assessment within the scope of technological processes. The first steps were taken for new scientific research and studies in areas greatly needed in our country, such as the technological transformation of the field, digital gamification and educational content production.
